It works for it's intended purpose. Idk how to make it retain the last power on setting.
I connect it to the bicycles computer it's in the last power on mode, but when I press *start ride* , the radars light powers on, even tho the last setting used was left in the illuminate only when vehicles are approaching mode.
Wahoo computer
My first radar but impressed with the functionality. The only issue I had was ghost cars, ones that would not disappear from the display even though the actual car was gone. Updated to the latest firmware and that no longer happens so it's working great now (5K+ miles)
I really want to like this product but it is very inconsistent and only alerts me that vehicle are coming about 60% of the time. Often I know that there is a vehicle right behind me and the device does nothing and other times it works. When it works I really like how it shows on my display and it's very easy to set up and has decent battery life. I'm not sure if it's my device alone or like that on all devices but make me nervous when I'm on the road.
I like the display when paired with the Bryton S500, it shows actual car avatars (if that's the right word for it) behind you. Price is low compared to the big names. What could be better? Bryant could add some setting features like screen left or screen right size and colors. A nice audible beep nothing annoying would be nice to alert you to cars on your 6. The other is I like to see change is the proprietary mount to strictly the Garmin standard. Overall, I am impressed with the Bryton radar unit and will continue to use it. Buy it!
