Budget GPS Bike Computer with Loads of Functions, but Frustratingly Complicated

A budget bike computer with loads of functions at a great price. Di2, power, cadence, temp, altitude etc., Just the right size with a large clear display. Quarter turn mount that is almost universal. Works with all the apps and is Ant+ and Bluetooth! What more could you ask for. However, the 420 is frustratingly over complicated. The power, pause, back and menu are hidden on the bottom and are not easily accessible. Setting the clock, which should be a no brainer, is a nightmare. Adjusting the time to daylight savings is near impossible and the unit continues to default to a minus 12 hours. Resulting in showing a ride that happened at 9:00am as a ride that happened at 9:00pm the night before. Support was quick to respond, but their fix, turn on GPS, did not fix the issue. Further, saving your ride, or recording, requires 2 screens and pushing 3 buttons! Even starting your ride, recording, requires pushing 2 buttons. Most bike computers only use one button. Finally, the Bluetooth is sketchy, as it connects to the phone but many times the recorded ride does not show up on the app, so you have to connect to your computer, through USB and manually download, what a pain. That being said, the 420 has features that match much higher end computers at a third of the price.

Great Device, questionable app

I have used the GPS twice now and it's been great. Consistent connection even in dense forests and ravines where normally I'd expect a poor signal. Useful features, good battery life. The button placement is a little awkward, that's really the only negative I can think of for the device. The app it connects to could use some work. I'm especially frustrated by the fact that you need cell service to upload a route from your phone to the GPS. I have the maps stored on my phone, so why do I need an internet connection to upload them? Very frustrating.

My 2nd 420

I bought my first Bryton 420 almost 2 years ago. I purchased this one as a backup. It has good battery life, is easy to see, easy to upload to phone after a ride, syncs automatically with Strava. I purchased the first one because I wanted to record more than heart rate, cadence specifically.
